Restorative & Esthetic Dentistry
Plan additive rehabilitation from the first consultation to the mock-up, bite records and palatal veneers.
With Dr. Francesca Vailati

Course information
The CLASSIC lectures introduce Dr. Francesca Vailati’s 3STEP approach for dentists beginning to explore additive rehabilitation. Start with the rationale for additive dentistry and the challenges of occlusal adjustment before moving into the first consultation and diagnostic records.
The DentalEDX sequence then covers dental erosion, ACE classification, the external mock-up and an increase in vertical dimension of occlusion. Dedicated lectures on the white bite, control visit and palatal veneers connect planning with the later restorative stages.
Twelve recorded lectures provide 10 hours and 21 minutes of teaching. This is the CLASSIC collection, not the separate PLUS or DEEP LEARNING series, and does not include a hands-on training appointment.
Who this course is for
A starting point for clinicians who want to understand the 3STEP sequence before progressing to more advanced training.
Organize the first consultation, photography and diagnostic assessment for patients with tooth wear.
Explore the purpose of each stage, from the external mock-up to the control visit.
Connect additive treatment planning with vertical dimension, bite registration and palatal restorations.
Additive prosthodontics
The CLASSIC collection begins with the patient and the diagnosis—not with a veneer preparation.
Consultation, photographs, erosion assessment and classification come before the external mock-up in the lesson sequence. This gives the learner a structured introduction to the decisions that precede the later restorative stages.
A clear diagnostic starting point makes each subsequent step easier to understand and review.
What you’ll learn
Examine why the course starts with addition and how the 3STEP approach has evolved.
Review what to capture during the initial assessment and how photographs support patient education.
Build a diagnostic foundation before progressing to the restorative sequence.
Understand the first step of the method and its role in evaluating the proposed treatment.
Connect an increase in vertical dimension with the dedicated bite-recording lesson.
Follow the control visit and the introduction to palatal veneer treatment.
The restorative sequence
The later lectures follow the external mock-up, increased vertical dimension, white bite and control visit before introducing palatal veneers. Revisit each lecture to examine its place within the overall sequence.
